The Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Equity and Excellence is seeking a dynamic, community organizer to help us recruit, train, and mobilize Black and Brown youth and families to advocate for systemic change within Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS’) in three key areas: 1) Increase proficiency in literacy and math and close achievement gaps; 2) Increase school safety and reduce disproportionality in discipline; and 3) Increase MCPS’ ability to effectively communicate, include, and engage Black and Brown youth and families in key decisions affecting students’ education.
